i've noticed that after booking a session one of the very first questions clients ask is, "what do we wear?" so, in case you've booked a session or you're considering one in the future, stay tuned to wardrobe wednesdays for some great styling ideas and tips (plus, where to get all this great stuff on the cheap!).
before we begin, i want to give you the absolute most important shoot wardrobe advice you'll ever hear: wear something you love. perhaps it's not terribly trendy, and maybe other people will hate it, but these will be YOUR pictures, hanging in YOUR house, and YOU need to love them! love your hammer pants? wear 'em!
for those who chose to pass on the hammer pants, the very first installment of wardrobe wednesday - the engagement session:
purple is huge this year, and it photographs beautifully. the styling here is a bit retro, but simple enough to be timeless. this look is perfect for a fun, playful, and stylish couple (i bet that skirt is awesome for twirling). notice that the outfits complement each other nicely without matching exactly. the touch of purple in his tie is a great punch of color that draws from her dress and ties the whole look together (ties... get it? i'm too funny).
